I haven't regretted going to Saint Joseph's Institution yet.(I don't think I ever will. HAHA) Anyway, recently my school Secondary 1 students had a campfire. But I will talk about that later. Our school had a 2 day 1 night Secondary 1 Orientation Camp. You are probably wondering what we did right? Well, we played games and listened to talks and stuff. The two best things in the orientation camp was watching a movie called "Remember the Titans". The second best thing was when we played a game where there are two teams, and all players have to tuck one sock at the back of their pants where visible. Each team has to try to take each other's sock and put it on their own team's chair. When somebody's sock gets taken, he is out of the game. The team with the most socks on their chair wins. The first day of Orientation camp lasted like 8 am to 1.15 am literally. Thats a long time right? And the next day we had to wake up at 7.30 am. Thats why the on the second day of orientation camp at about 3 pm, the staff of the school gave a talk for the parents( which the Secondary 1 students also had to attend)which lasted until about 4.30 pm, which resulted in more than half the Secondary 1 students falling asleep. (I saw the students fall asleep and then I fell asleep myself) LOL. Anyway, the main reason for this talk was for the Josephians to put the badge on for us because the school has to officially welcome the Secondary 1 students by letting the PSL( Peer Support Leaders) put the school badge on for us.(Before that we were not allowed to wear the school badge) All of this happened on the 9th and 10th of January. Oh yeah, I am in class 106 which is the STDP (Special Talent Development Programme) for maths.
Here is the video of it them putting the school badge on for us:
I apoligize if the videos are a bit blur but my mom filmed all of this using her handphone. Anyway, after that we had something like a celebration time by singing.
Here is one of the songs that we sang:(for this video turn the volume on to listen to the song we sang)
Nice huh? LOL. Just kidding. Anyway, that was the end of the day and I went home to play computer, eat and sleep.
Second part of Orientation:
The second part of the Secondary 1 Orientation was a campfire which happened on the 22nd of January. The whole campfire was just the Secondary 1 students singing, making noise and playing. So there isn't much to talk about.
Here is a photo of the fire at a distance: The above photo was taken at about 6.45 pm.
Here is a photo of the fire during night time: Don't be fooled, the fire didn't light up the whole place. There were orange lights that were a lot more powerful than the little light that the fire could offer.
The video below shows our school rally first and our school cheer at the last part.( Turn your volume higher to listen)
Here's a photo of me and my class at the campfire.HAHA.
Oh well, thats all about the Orientation.
