As I promised, I am blogging about my 2 days and 1 night Youth Camp with Ivan's church. =D What words can I use to describe it? BRILIANT! IT WAS GREAT! HAHA. Anyway, I had to take the MRT from Commonwealth MRT station to Pasir Ris MRT Station. It took about 50 minutes on the train. That is VERY long considering my patience xD. LOL. Anyway, after I got there, I met Ivan and his friend Justin. We waited for a van which then took us to our destination: Costa Sands. We got there at about 6pm. Here is a photo of the place:

We rented two chalets: one for boys and one for girls. To tell the truth, the standards of their church are almost exactly the same as ours. It is a Baptists church. Anyway, that is a photo I took right before dinner at about 6.30 pm. Here is a photo of the food we had:

HAHA. I don't want to describe the food... so just see for yourself what there was xD. The drink that you see beside food isn't wine lah. It is just Ribena. HAHA. Anyway, after the dinner, we had to go for something like Sunday school, except it was a Friday.. HAHA. We were taught how to read the Bible. The man who taught us was a white man whose name is Mark. He was a man who was really sincere about reading the Bible. He could quote alot of scriptures and things like that. His method of reading the Bible is that when you find important sentences, you "Mark it, memorize it, meditate on it and master it". For short, the 5 "Ms". His reason for it is that when we read the scriptures, we should be able to apply it in our daily lives, so by doint the 5 "Ms", we will be able to use the scriptures to help us choose the right. It lasted for about 1.5 hours to 1.75 hours. After that, we had a bit of free time. So, I played a game called "Sabotuer". Here is a picture of the youth playing Sabotuer:

HAHA. The objective of the game is to build a tunnel towards a gold nougat. There are 3 cards facing down at one end from the start point and only one of them is the gold nougat. The objective for the "mine diggers" is to dig towards the gold nougat until they reach it. Another group is called the "Sabotuer" and their objective is to prevent the mine diggers from reaching the gold nougat. But nobody knows whether you are a mine digger or sabotuer so the game is kinda tricky. Anyway, here is a close up picture of the game:

Now you have a clearer idea of what the game is? HAHA. Anyway, its not so important, so don't worry. Anyway, we played the game until like 12 am. LOL. Kinda long huh? Anyway, it was bedtime and we all went back into the chalet. Here is a picture of the inside:

Guess what. We had to squeeze MORE THAN 10 BOYS into that small room!!!. Here is a photo of what it was like before we were about to sleep:

LOL! Thats not all, there were still a few behind the camera:

Sorry if the photo is kinda dark, because I didn't want to startle them with my flash. xD Anyway, I woke up at about 7.30 am. My friend Ivan and some of the other boys went to the nearbly Mc Donalds to have breakfast while I stayed put. HAHA. Anyway, after they got back, I played soccer for about an hour with the 3 boys. After that, I had more lessons with Mark. He taught us about prayer and how we should pray sincerely to God. He said that we should not repeat our prayers and try to stay focused by trying to say different things every prayer. He said that repeating a prayer is like having someone talk to you about the same thing over and over again. Anyway, the lesson lasted about 1.33 hours. After that, I played more Sabotuer until lunch was bought for us. This is what we had for lunch:

Look good right? HAHA. It is called "wan tan min". It was DELICIOUS. LOLz. Anyway, I don't want to make you hungry anymore. =P

After we had lunch, we played MORE Sabotuer.. xP There was a choir session from 3pm to 6pm... Anyway, after that, we had dinner at 6pm. Guess what we had for dinner. BARBECUE! LOL. Here is a photo of the cooking:

Thats the chicken pieces. Here is some of the other foods we had:

I don't need to say what those are. =P

HAHA. The food was EXCELLENT. After I finished eating it was about 8pm, and I watched Ivan's friend play Chinese Chess. He got thrashed totally by someone's father. I watched for about an hour. After that, we played a game called "Signs". The objective is to pass a message on by doing different signs of each person. So you must remember the signs of other people or you will just hold the sign. There will be a person standing in the middle of the circle made by the players and this person will keep spinning and try to catch the person with the message. If he does, the person he or she caught gets to be the guy standing in the middle and looking for the person with the message.

We played that game for about 0.5 hours. After which I had to leave and it was almost 9.30 pm. I was lucky to get a ride from the mom of a boy named Danny to Simei MRT station. I took the MRT home reached home at about 10.20 pm. HAHA. The camp was great overall. After I went to the camp, I realised that the only reason why their church is different from mine is that they do not believe in the Book of Mormon. Other than that, they believe in the same qualties, the same priciples, the same almost everything... It really hit me why people actually join these churches. Mark, who taught me the lessons, was extremely convincing and I am sure that anyone without a religion who listened to him would be very easily converted. Well, thats all for now... =D
